UNESCO Open Science Working Groups – 4th meeting and Open Science Outlook - YouTube

"UNESCO has convened 5 ad-hoc Working Groups focusing on key impact areas relevant to the implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, bringing together experts and open science entities, organizations and institutions, according to their field of activity and expertise. A meeting of all Working Groups was held on 15 February 2024, serving as the 4th meeting of each Group.

The objective of the meeting was to present the key messages from the UNESCO Open Science Outlook, which was launched in December 2023 and is the first global assessment of status and trends in open science in accordance with the 2021 UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science. In this inaugural edition, the UNESCO Open Science Outlook provides a baseline against which the implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science can be assessed over time, while highlighting crucial gaps in the available data and information.
