"The Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) Interest Group Controlled Vocabularies for Repository Assets where the AIMS Team is participating in will hold its first Webinar on July 7, 2014. For all of you interested in the field of standardization of research information, the Webinar will be open to COAR members, as well as members of AIMS. David Baker (CASRAI Executive Director) will give a presentation 'CASRAI: a non-profit initiative to harmonize research information and facilitate interoperability'. The Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI) is a not-for-profit standards development organization. It provides a forum and the mechanisms required to standardize the data that researchers, their institutions and their funders must produce, store, exchange and process throughout the life-cycle of research activity. We envision research teams maintaining a single authoritative file on their activities and being able to quickly produce any documents needed by funders and institutions from this single source file ..."
