Summary:

"To celebrate this year's International Open Access Week, join us for a talk by Associate Professor Alex Holcombe.  Alex is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Sydney and Co-Director of the Centre for Time. At the scholarly journal Perspectives on Psychological Science, he co-edits Registered Replication Reports, a new type of article for which open access and open data form an integral part. He was a member of the founding advisory board of PLoS ONE, now the largest journal in the world, and he participates in several other initiatives to address aspects of scholarly publishing that he believes to be antiquated and hinder scientific progress."
