"Two of the largest academic publishers, Wiley-Blackwell and Taylor & Francis, are to reduce the costs of their subscriptions against payments they receive to publish open-access articles from 2015, Research Fortnight has learned. The deal, struck on behalf of the UK’s research libraries by Jisc Collections, is a victory for librarians and open-access advocates who argue that publishers are profiting unfairly from the transition to open access.
