Summary:

"Coursera, the world's largest MOOC platform, has just reached 10 million registered students. The platform also recently announced 18 new specialisations offering unique MOOC learning pathways in certain fields.  Coursera's specialisations consist of a sequence of courses that build expertise in specific skills and subject matter expertise. The first specialisations were introduced in January 2014, and the latest additions open up several new areas of study for this type of format of study. The new specialisations offered are:   [1] 8 in Business, Marketing and Management [2] 7 in Technology and Engineering [3] 3 in Social Sciences and Medicine   The specialisations require students to complete a final project that has them apply their new skills and knowledge to real-world situations. For example, learners in the Data Science specialisation will have the opportunity to work with SwiftKey engineers on text prediction systems. Visit the Coursera blog to learn more about the new opportunities available. "
