" ... As of 2 April, a team of twelve developers in Berlin is working on the project Wikidata. It is the official start of a project through which the Wikipedia community has been discussing for years. 'Wikidata is the Wikipedia of data,' says Richter. The aim is to create a database of structured, open-access information that anyone can edit. This is something the Wikipedia editions around the world will benefit. One of the first goals of the project is to prepare the data in the Infobox of Wikipedia articles about places, states or persons machine-readable.
