"The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) is working to continue providing free access to scientific knowledge through the Network of Scientific Magazines of Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal (Redalyc). UAEM is planning to launch Redalyc 2.2, a new version of the platform that will offer faster and easier searches by classifying publications that do not show in other platforms, said Redalyc Director Eduardo Aguado López last week. The new design will have over 1,000 scientific magazines and 36,000 full articles from two categories: exact sciences and social sciences and humanities. Its services will be divided in four: magazine collections, scientific production, scientometric indexes and scientific production reports. Redalyc is the largest repository of scientific publications in Ibero-America. It has been recognized by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a model of scientific communication in Latin America. It also inspired in reforms to the science and technology law, the general education law and the National Science and Technology Council organic law in Mexico. Redalyc will facilitate information about scientific production per country, its thematic relevance, number of searches, collaborators and more ..."
