"Jisc would like to consult you about your institution’s interest in joining a UK ORCID consortium membership agreement. ORCID is an international, interdisciplinary, open, not-for-profit organisation. Its core function is to provide a registry of unique, persistent, and resolvable person identifiers together with web services to enable interoperability through integration of identifiers into your research systems and workflows. This paper provides information on the ORCID initiative, current ORCID adoption rates in the UK, the ORCID consortium membership model, costs, and Jisc’ s role as the consortium lead; 2. To get your feedback on whether or not you would become a member of a UK ORCID consortium, we have set up a short survey. It should only take you 5-10 minutes to complete.
