An open access policy for the ZHB !: ZHB Luzern

Summary:

"Open Access means free access to scientific information for all on the Internet. This not only scientific publications as Zeitschrftenartikel or monographs are meant but also documents of cultural heritage. For the ZHB Open Access is of particular relevance, as they are considered higher education and Kantonsbibliothek depends not only on academics, but to all: Open Access namely offers the opportunity to reduce existing disparities in access to electronic media between these user groups. In the end of March adoptedĀ  Open Access Policy , the ZHB bound to make freely available to digital and digitized works held by its employees as well as publications. In addition, it provides business creators with respect to Luzern the opportunity works Open Access publishing. Already makes ZHB on request on Campus Lucerne resulting scientific work on their repositories to the public. And digitized manuscripts from the ZHB, including most recently the Diebold Schilling chronicles, can on the platform e-codices can be viewed and used freely. Thus, the Open Access Policy can be implemented, builds the ZHB along with various partner institutions at the research site Lucerne and in close cooperation with CERN on the existing platform Zenodo a repository, which will replace the in the tooths document server."
