[From Google's English] "There is an exodus of medical editors and editors in Frontiers , a rapidly growing Swiss publisher of open access journals. The exodus followed a conflict with the management of the editorial process, which according to some editors at many points in conflict with applicable guidelines for medical journals. 'The quality of published research is not guaranteed, and at the expense of patients,' says Matthias Barton, professor of cardiology at the University of Zurich. He was June last year, the editor of the journal Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine , but has since withdrawn. 'The publisher is only there to make money quickly.' Open access is a recent online publication model for scientific research, which competes with the traditional subscription model. Researchers pay a publisher prior to publishing, and after publishing an article is free for everyone on the Internet.
