[From Google's English] "The Digital Library of the Max Planck Institute, one of the leading exponents of the Open Access movement, has recently published a study on the feasibility of the transition from an economy of scientific publications for subscription model to a fully open access. The study, titled Disrupting the journal's subscription business model for the large-scale transformation Necessary to open access , is the first that is based on a quantitative analysis and concluded that the money currently invested by libraries subscriptions are more than enough to cover the costs of resolving a shift towards open access. This proposal has been the central theme of the last World Conference on Open Access Berlin 12  ..."
