Microsoft helps teachers connect with open educational resources - The Fire Hose

Summary:

"In response to teacher feedback and the national #GoOpen education initiative, Microsoft is helping teachers connect with high-quality, openly licensed educational resources, through enhancements to Docs.com and a new Open Educational Search app. On Docs.com, teachers can curate and share Office documents, OneNote notebooks, Office Mixes, PDFs and Sways. The new enhancements help educators find content organized in the US Department of Education’s Learning Registry. The free Open Educational Search app was built with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standards, which means it can be embedded in any learning platform that supports the LTI standard, including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and many more. The app is powered by OpenEd.com’s query API."
