abernard102@gmail.com 2016-03-14

Summary:

"Open educational resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research resources that are created with the intention of being freely available to users anywhere and are released with an open copyright license (or in the public domain) thus allowing the user to change, re-mix and share it. Lauri Aesoph, Open Education Manager with BCcampus, will draw on her experiences with the BC Open Textbook Project to describe the basics of OER and open textbooks, how faculty can adopt or change these resources, and some of the concerns about moving toward this new model. Questions are welcomed."
