Summary:
“Symplectic is excited to announce the upcoming Mendeley module. Researchers will be able to synchronise their personal Mendeley profiles with their Elements account at their institution; and most importantly, take advantage of the rich file sharing capabilities of Mendeley. Funded by JISC, The DURA Project was a collaboration between MENDELEY, Symplectic and CARET(Centre for Applied Research in Education Technologies) at THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE... Enable your academics to synchronise bibliographic data from their personal Mendeley profiles to their Elements account at your institution, eliminating the need to re-key data. Import your personal research collections from Mendeley - Elements will detect new files on an academic’s profile and then prompt the user to upload them into the institutional repository. Inform each deposit decision with copyright information from Sherpa/RoMEO... Elements supports all file-types from Mendeley, allowing academics to deposit their pre-published text and ancillary materials directly to the institutional repository. Give academics the ability to deposit via Elements in just a few clicks, simplifying their workflow and therefore encouraging deposits. Works with the Repository Tools module in Elements, so all major repository technologies (DSpace, Fedora, ePrints and Intralibrary) are supported out of the box... CARET, Mendeley and Symplectic worked together to create this unique combination of functionalities, specifically designed to integrate Repository Deposit into the normal academic workflow... This new module will be available for purchase this summer 2012.”
