La Universidad de León, pionera en disponer del portal de Datos Abiertos - León - Diario de León

[From google's English] "The University of León is, along with another of Seville, the first to join the Open Data technology (datosabiertos.unileon.es). This initiative has been made possible thanks to the collaboration and support of Telefónica, which places the academic center 'at the forefront of transparency and open government in the field of Spanish universities.'  This was explained by the rector of the ULE, José Ángel Hermida, during the presentation of the new portal, noting that its implementation has not been a cost to the institution, since the technology has been transferred to Telefónica.  In addition, the president expressed his hope that the scientific production of the ULE is open and available to everyone because in his opinion, 'the knowledge of the data facilitates transparency, and also contributes to the generation of wealth.' He also recalled that it is the continuation of a project started with the repository Bulería time, where is hung documentary production.
