Summary:
"The ACE awards recognize and reward outstanding contributions to open education. The OCW Consortium is seeking nominations for leaders and innovators that have had a significant impact through open courseware or open educational resources.
There are several award categories:
Leadership: Recognizes contributions of individuals who have demonstrated significant leadership in the OCW/OER community.
Educator: Recognizes contributions of educators who have published and/or use a significant body of OCW/OER over a sustained period.
Outstanding site: Recognize excellence in an OCW site. A site of exemplary quality in its presentation of educational content (in breadth, depth, creativity)
Outstanding course: Recognize excellence in the presentation of a course. A course of exemplary quality in its presentation of educational content (in breadth, depth, creativity)
Open MOOC: Recognizes excellence in an openly licensed MOOC.
Creative Innovation: Recognizes outstanding innovations that bring a new approach to Open Education. Ideas or solutions presented as sites, courses or projects that substantially improve the discoverability, presentation, usability, accessibility or availability of course materials.
Engagement: Recognizes excellence in student/user retention of a course and/or site.
Open Research: Recognizes excellence in research studies about open education and/or related areas. Studies that help advance our understanding and demonstrate effectiveness related to challenges in discoverability, presentation, usability, accessibility or availability of OCW/OER.
Any member of the OCW /OER community is eligible for the individual awards. The website, course, and project awards are open to members of the OCW Consortium. The nomination form is available online and the deadline to submit a nomination is 17 January, 2014. "
