"The SPARC Open Access Meeting will take place in Kansas City, USA on March 3rd & 4th, 2014. The theme of this year’s conference is 'Convergence'. This theme will resonate with many COAR members, as the scope of content being managed by repositories is expanding to include a wide rage of content types. And, with this expanding role, come new opportunities and challenges for repository managers. The SPARC conference will address the intersection of openness across three areas: OA publications, open data and open educational resources. It will feature leaders from the library community, academia, industry, student community and other research avenues. SPARC is a COAR partner and both organizations share a common vision that improving access to the results of research will result in significant benefits for research and society.
