"Dr Srinu Babu Gadela has come a long way from a tiny village near Palkonda in Srikakulam district. The 31-year-old scientist, a product of Andhra University and Stanford, has created a platform, OMICS, which provides open access to research papers from various scientific fields to students and researchers from Third World countries ... 'We have four centres across the globe, two in America (Los Angeles and Las Vegas), one in Romania and another in Hyderabad. As many as 750 people work there. These people liaison with various research organisations, universities and individual scientists to ensure that their papers are published on the OMICS site,' said Babu. There is a team of more than 30,000 editorial board members, the world over, whose main job is to edit the papers as freelancers.  Today OMICS boasts of a readership base of 5 million and has so far published over 3 lakh papers from various fields of science ..."
