Use the link to get more information about this upcoming event. “Digital Research 2012 brings together digital researchers from all areas to showcase their research and share the latest digital approaches - from Big Data Analytics and e-Infrastructure to Citizen Science and Software Sustainability.  Building on the successful series of UK e-Science events, Digital Research 2012 welcomes researchers from all disciplines, from academia and business, and at all stages of their careers. This three day event in Oxford 10-12 September features collocated workshops, talks and demos - a meeting place to showcase and learn.  This year our conference theme is the Future of Digital Research and the programme includes New Science of New Data (twitter analytics, web science), e-Infrastructure, Software Sustainability, Open Science, Data Archiving and a Digital Research Future Forum and Roundtable. We have an exciting set of leading speakers to deliver their visions of the future.  In previous years we have invited people to present short talks, posters and demos of their projects.  This year we are continuing this show-and-tell tradition in our ‘Innovation Showcase’ track. We are accepting your contributions up to 13th August - see the Call for Contributions for further information. This year, as part of our Future theme, we are asking for something new - we want your visions on where Digital Research is going.  These papers and stories will be presented as talks, posters, demos and also videos. We are offering prizes for the ‘glimpses’ that are most highly rated by the judges and conference attendees. This future theme will be developed through invited speakers and a roundtable session. The Innovation Showcase and Glimpses of the future run throughout the three-day event.  On Monday 10th the plenary session is sponsored by the Digital Social Research programme and features a focus on New Science of New Data including twitter, geospatial data and Web Observatories.  Monday also sees the launch of Software Sustainability Institute's Fellows' programme - funding for travel and more. Tuesday 11th focuses on the future with invited talks and a Digital Future Roundtable.  The plenary on Wednesday 12th is organised in conjunction with the UK e-Infrastructure Academic User Community Forum and features an update on the major new UK investment in e-Infrastructure and discussions about the community's plans.  Workshops include Responsible Digital Research on Monday 10th, Smart Space as a Utility on Tuesday 11th, and Cybersecurity and Digital Research using Web Archives on Wednesday 12th.”
