Take Part! ... As a Scientific Information Project Manager in the Open Access Section managing the SCOAP3 consortium you will: [1] Assure the cohesion of the SCOAP3 community of libraries and funding agencies, listening to diverse points of view, valuing each partner's specificity and conveying a sense of common purpose. [2] Ensure the good governance of the consortium, the respect of the Memorandum of Understanding among all partners and the functioning of all governing bodies and volunteer working groups. [3] Manage the overall project budget, organize the payments of partners into the SCOAP3 fund, continuously anticipating and promptly mitigating financial risks. [4] Monitor the financial and technical aspects of the SCOAP3 operation (article delivery and compliance, vendor payments by CERN, added-value services in the SCOAP3 repository) and report to the SCOAP3 financial backers. [5] Organise and oversee the procurement process for the second three-year phase of SCOAP3, harmonizing the SCOAP3 partnership expectations, the evolution of the publishing industry and the role of CERN. [6] Manage a small SCOAP3 office including an IT specialist operating the SCOAP3 repository. [7] Represent SCOAP3 on the international Open Access scene for outreach and knowledge transfer ..."
