"The IU Libraries are sponsoring a series of Open Access Week events, October 22-28. Open Access is a movement to make digital research materials available free of charge and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. OA scholarly articles have been proven to have a citation advantage to literature that appears in subscription journals.   To celebrate Open Access Week, the IUB Libraries and GPSO are hosting events for researchers and graduate students, including:   [1] Making Your Research Open Access Monday, October 22, 12 PM - 1 PM , Wells Library E174 Monday, October 22, 3:30 PM – 5 PM, Wells Library/SLIS LI-030 (Grad Students) For researchers interested in learning more about Open Access basics and IU’s copyright consultation, OA journal publishing, and institutional repository services. Led by Jennifer Laherty, head of IUScholarWorks, and Nazareth Pantaloni, Visiting Librarian for Copyright and Administration.
