abernard102@gmail.com 2014-04-11

Summary:

"Sponsored by the new ad-hoc Open Access Task Force, appointed this spring by Faculty Chair Jan Boxill and Chaired by Profs. Todd Vision and Julie Kimbrough. This is an expert forum to learn about the rights-retention policies that have been adopted by faculty at several peer institutions in recent years. Such policies can provide the researcher with greater reuse rights than are allowed by the copyright transfer agreements provided by many scholarly publishers. The forum will include presentations by two speakers who have been closely involved with the faculty-led open access policies adopted at Duke University (in 2010) and across the entire 10-university University of California system (in 2013) ..."
