"The National Workshop on Open Access policies in Greece is one of the national workshops that take place in the Fall of 2012 in the Mediterranean countries participating in MedOANet. It focuses on current European policies, international good practices and policy-design perspectives to research funders, high university and research centre
administrators and other stakeholders in the value chain of research production and dissemination. The workshop has been designed to help those high-ranking stakeholders deliver open access policies in their institutions in line with current best practices regarding access to scientific information. The workshop is also a venue for fruitful discussion of the state of open access policies in Greece and a means to promote the open access agenda in the country. To this end, the second part of the workshop focuses on the Greek state of affairs and includes presentations and a roundtable of high-ranking stakeholders in the Greek research and education landscape.
