Summary:
"Open Science is a movement to make scientific research available to all – making it more useful, transparent and greatly increasing the impact of research. Open Science contributes to advancing many of the UNs Sustainable Development Goals and in November 2021, UNESCO members unanimously adopted a Recommendation on Open Science which provides a framework for advancing open science at the national level and has been instrumental in helping to progress open science policies and infrastructures around the world.
Bi-annually, COAR and a local Asian host organize a meeting to support information sharing and collaboration on open access and open science across Asian countries. This is part of the Asia OA Community of Practice that is hosted by COAR.
This year, the meeting is being jointly organized by COAR and the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society College of Engineering (AISSMS), in conjunction with UNESCO. This will be an in-person meeting and take place at UNESCO offices in New Delhi...."
