Summary:

"We are excited to announce the next topic of the ICOR public meeting which will explore the growing importance of metascience in the research ecosystem. Be sure to join us on October 2nd, (8am PDT, 11am EDT, 4pm BST, 5pm CEST) for an overview of how metascience is being implemented to improve the system and practice of research and foster a culture of continuous experimentation and improvement.

Here, you can find the meeting’s public agenda and a link to register for the event.

Metascience (or research on research) provides an evidence-based approach to understanding and improving scientific practices. It is therefore a powerful lens through which to examine and refine the open research lifecycle. By systematically studying how science is done, we can identify and address challenges, improve research practices, and ultimately accelerate the pace of innovation. In recent years, metascience has acted as a compass for the open science movement, providing data-driven insights to guide the development of policies, practices, and tools that promote transparency, collaboration, and reproducibility in research...."
