Virtual networking forum on institutional repositories and CRIS

"The research project "Professionalization of the Open Access Repositories Infrastructure in Germany (Pro OAR DE)" aims at supporting and improving Open Access Repositories landscape (OAR) in Germany through an open and cooperative approach. To this end, a series of expert interviews and a systematic literature review were conducted to identify and address current challenges in operating OAR.

In the second virtual networking forum on the topic of CRIS, we aim to address key challenges related to CRIS and institutional repositories with the community of Open Access professionals (OA officers, repository managers, management personnel of libraries, computing centers, and data centers) and develop practical solutions.

Following a thematic introduction by the project team, invited experts will present specific action options for CRIS. Subsequently, we will work in small groups to develop manageable solutions for CRIS and institutional repositories. The results of the forum will be documented by the project team in the form of a guide. Overall, this will support the development of best practices in the field of information infrastructures at the national level and promote networking among Open Access professionals."
