Summary:

"The Open Institutional Publishing Association (OIPA) was founded to connect and encourage a diverse range of small to medium-sized university presses and university-affiliated publishing operations striving for open access. A group of  emerging presses recognised the need for a new network of peers, bringing together colleagues already supporting open access publishing – and those at institutions who would like to – that share similar beliefs and motivations. By bringing this group together, we are creating a new community of practice which will support open access publishing activities at UK universities.

The people behind our institutional publishing operations have a wealth of experience that is stronger when shared. Creating an open future relies on connecting experiences and collaborative thinking...."
