Abstract:  [Purpose/Significance]The trend of collaborative knowledge production and diversified scientific output is obvious in the open science environment. Effectively identifying and recognizing diversified contribution subjects and diversified contribution contents in open research is crucial to improving the openness, transparency and effective use of contribution data. [Method/Process]Based on a systematic investigation of the relevant theories and practices of academic contributions at home and abroad, this study proposed an academic contribution analysis system for open science. From the perspective of the achievement creation process, the academic contribution attribution research was carried out around three aspects: contribution factor identification, contribution degree calculation, and contribution representation. The concept verification and application scenario analysis were carried out through empirical cases. [Result/Conclusion]Academic contribution is an important part of the open science system. Improving the openness and transparency of academic contributions of various scientific research results is an inevitable trend. However, the existing contribution attribution methods have problems such as limited applicability and lack of systematicity. In the future, the applicability of the method can be improved by expanding the application objects of contribution, establishing a general contribution factor system, and optimizing the quantitative calculation of contribution, so as to expand the application scope and application scenarios of contribution data.
