In response to the alarming curtailing of academic freedom of speech and inquiry, this Declaration outlines 1) the threats such censorship poses to the global and the broader global community it serves, and 2) the possible avenues of resistance to preserve the scientific record and academic freedom for all researchers globally. ...
We call on members of the worldwide scholarly communication ecosystems – researchers, policy-makers, scholarly societies, libraries, higher education and research institutions, publishers, funders, and others – to sign this Declaration to publicly condemn and resist the censorship of academic research.
