Summary:

"Open Science, as emphasised in the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, promotes inclusive, transparent, and collaborative research practices, esnuring that scientific knowledge accessible to all. As global adoption accelerates, monitoring becomes essential to measure impact, identify gaps, and strengthen implementation strategies.

PathOS (Open Science Impact Pathways), a three-year EU-funded project launched in 2022, examines the impacts of open science. It provides policymakers, researchers, and institutions with evidence-based tools to shape effective policies. This conference on Open Science Impact & Monitoring, organised in collaboration between UNESCO, PathOS, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Open Science Observatory, and the Open Science Monitoring Initiative (OSMI), marks the culmination of PathOS."
