"This text shows the experience developed in Latin America and the Caribbean to open new doors in scientific communication as appropriate tasks for librarians. Its information systems which were born in 1976 and have been developed up today, are based on openness and solidarity to share knowledge products. It describes 8 different systems and includes other actions such as policies, declarations, and the characteristics of the Open Science as a Common Good, the CLACSO Working Group that functions from 2019. Finally, it shows the main actions carried out to build bridges to the knowledge as part of this group, as well as highlight the opportunities and barriers that arise in Latin America."
