Easier to support Diamond OA together: Keep an eye on syndicate offers with the Diamond Funding Navigator

Summary:

From Google's English:  "Collective funding of Diamond OA publications through consortium models works – as demonstrated by initiatives such as KOALA and OLEKonsort. Through these models, the operating costs of several academic journals have been covered in recent years – through comparatively small individual contributions from many institutions.

However, such consortium offerings face challenges gaining visibility and reaching their funding goals. With the Diamond Funding Navigator, the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) now provides an overview of consortium offerings for Diamond Open Access publications. This creates a central information resource that, on the one hand, supports institutions in their decision regarding financial participation and, on the other, helps the offerings gain greater visibility. Among other features, the publication output of the journals included in the consortium offerings can be filtered and displayed by institution.

The oa.talk will present the Diamond Funding Navigator and explain its potential uses. It will also provide an outlook on future developments. The event is aimed primarily at those responsible for open access funding and acquisitions at academic institutions (acquisition managers, subject librarians), as well as those responsible for Diamond consortium offerings. All other interested parties are, of course, also invited to attend."
