19 Million Items: Cornell Contributions Expand the Collection – HathiTrust Digital Library

"Preserving and providing access to HathiTrust’s shared digital collection centers our work, enabling scholars and curious minds to explore the record of human knowledge that we steward. Recently, Cornell University (HathiTrust member since 2010) contributed the collection’s 19-millionth item, an epic milestone since 2023 when we celebrated the 18-millionth item.

Among the many items we received from Cornell in this deposit are texts in Dutch, German, Mandarin, Lao, and Thai, largely published in the late 1940s. They represent items still restricted by copyright, and also those in the public domain ensuring lawful access and discovery for researchers located outside the Ithaca, NY, campus."
