Summary:

"Open access to scholarship involves the removal of price and permission barriers, enabling the free flow of scholarly research across all disciplines of study and research. Global in its reach, open access encompasses a wide variety of forms and models, ranging in their complexity from simple and straightforward to intricate and multi-faceted. In this introductory workshop led by Colleen Cressman, Librarian for Open Publishing, we will discuss various open access models, illuminating their similarities and their key differences. Designed with librarians in mind, we will cover recent developments in both open access publishing and rights retention.

If you were unable to attend Session 1 in October, where we discussed OA from the publisher's main venue (e.g. OA publishing, so-called "gold" OA), you are welcome and encouraged to attend Session 2 anyway."
