"Springer Nature and the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) announced on Tuesday the signing of a landmark Transformative Agreement (TA) for Brazil, a milestone that strengthens open access (OA) in Latin America and the Caribbean. The contract will be valid from January 1, 2026, and will last for three years, allowing researchers from more than 400 institutions to read and publish in the Springer hybrid journal portfolio."
