Launch of UiT's diamond open access programme | Septentrio Conference Series

"On 13 April 2026, UiT launched its Institutional Programme in Support of Diamond Open Access. The library has pledged to spend at least 6% of its literature budget on Diamond Open Access (i.e. more than 4 million NOK per year). This money is available thanks to cancellation of the deal with Wiley and other measures. UiT-affiliated researchers that are involved in journal editing are invited to apply for funding. In connection with the launch, Jean-Francois Lutz, Head of Research Support at the University Library of Lorraine, shared his experiences with diamond publishing and with establishing a researcher-led publishing practice."
