From Pilot to Impact: What Happens When JSTOR's Path to Open Titles Become Open?

"Over the past decade, a range of open access monograph models have emerged, each seeking to expand access while addressing the unique challenges of scholarly book publishing.

Three years ago, JSTOR partnered with libraries, publishers, and the academic community to launch Path to Open, exploring whether a shared investment model could broaden access to diverse scholarly books while supporting a sustainable future for academic publishing. Drawing on community feedback and early evidence from the first 100 titles after they became open access, the From Pilot to Impact: What Happens When Path to Open Titles Become Open? Insight Brief explores how this community-led program is reaching broader and more diverse audiences, increasing engagement, and strengthening bibliodiversity.  

In this webinar, we'll build on those findings with the latest results, showing how the program's impact has continued to grow since the brief was released. Partners from JSTOR, Boston Library Consortium, University of Oregon, Liverpool University Press, and Syracuse University Press will discuss what these insights mean for the future of open access monographs."
