These blog posts are a series of ‘explainer’ pre-reading to start participants thinking about the issues the course considered in relation to the general decline of scholarly publishing. The blog posts in this series considered the problem of questionable research practices, the mechanisms to manage these through corrections and retractions, the problem of university rankings and the uneasy nexus between Open and AI. They finish with some suggestions of where we go from here."
