We are helping a London university recruit to an Open Access Librarian job based in a lovely London campus. This job has been pitched initially as a three month temporary contract, with the possibility of a more substantial role to follow. The job will involve data validation of research repository records provided by the university’s academic research community staff, as well as liaising with academics to request publications or further information to ensure full metadata is captured, consistent and accurate. The Open Access Librarian will be responsible for correcting metadata descriptions of a wide variety of scholarly outputs, creating and editing research repository records, and uploading full text material into the research repository. Furthermore the job will involve checking copyright and publisher embargo polices and providing advice to academics on Gold and Green Open Access publishing, archiving and associated repository support services...."
