"Increasingly, there is a requirement to store data from research and teaching in a more structured manner or even to make it available in the long term.

In order to secure valuable data and make it available to selected users, some aspects have to be taken into account at the beginning of data generation. This workshop introduces the topic and gives a hands-on look at how to store objects (text, audio, video, etc.) with a persistent link and metadata. In addition to data archiving systems, such as PHAIDRA and UNIDAM, other supporting tools are also presented for the entire life cycle of the data.
