STM's Research Data Year: Results, lessons learnt, and next steps

"Key points•STM declared 2020 their Research Data Year (RDY), an action-driven initiative with the motto‘Share-Link-Cite’.•STM’s RDY has achieved its goals with the roll-out of journal datapolicies, data availability statements, and Scholix implementationby publishers.•The STM Research Data campaign helped raise awareness, andencouraged outreach and collaboration between publishers andother stakeholders in the scholarly ecosystem.•The success of the RDY led to the decision to continue the initia-tive beyond 2020 in the form of a Research Data Program."
