DeSci Foundation

"The DeSci Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit foundation. It is registered in the Canton of Geneva (CHE-389.450.872) and is annually audited according to Swiss law. The purpose of the foundation is to advance high-quality scientific research and science. The Foundation can give scholarships and awards to researchers and scientists to support its purpose. We are working together with our banking partner to enable financial donations to high-quality science by bridging web3 and traditional institutions.... The Foundation’s initial endowment comes from a donation by DeSci Labs AG, which was founded by a group of scientists and engineers researching and developing web3 infrastructure and open-source components for science. The Foundation will be raising further funds through donations to sponsor high-quality science that is openly accessible.... The DeSci Foundation is partnering with the Center of Open Science and Foresight Institute to advance open science practices and the development and responsible use of web3 technologies that have the potential to improve the scientific ecosystem...."
