Accelerating the Adoption of Open Science: Closing Statement Release and a Call to Action — Open Research Funders Group

"As part of its mission, the Open Research Funders Group (ORFG) cultivates robust cross-sector coalitions to advance a more open, participatory, equitable, robust, and sustainable research ecosystem. In this spirit, the ORFG participated in the July 2023 “Accelerating the Adoption of Open Science” Summit, co-organized by CERN and NASA in Geneva, Switzerland.

Today, NASA and CERN have publicly launched the closing statement of the Summit. The text, available here in English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese and Arabic, expresses a commitment to work collaboratively and contextually to accelerate the adoption of open science at scale.

The ORFG, through the generous support of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, is pleased to help translate the Summit momentum into concrete, community-driven actions. To this end, we are facilitating discussions in four working groups, which will start gathering periodically to address the main outcomes of the meeting...."
