This follows from the recommendations of the Working Group "Education and research" shows that took place during the meeting on Monday afternoon, broad support of the Commissioners. In the 28-page document by Reinhard Brandl (CSU), led group can be found only in three places alternative text proposed by the Left Party, which took part in the vote but no majority. Following the ideas of the Enquete Commission is that the open access principle, that free access to scientific literature and scientific materials that are promoted in the German research funding policy and in the German higher education landscape through cooperative development of a sustainable open access strategy. An important signal could be there, especially the magazines that are published by the professional associations themselves, to publish open access, according to the adopted recommendations...."
