Two NLM® Milestones: PubMed® Adds 20 Millionth Citation, PubMed Central® Logs 2 Millionth Article

"PubMed, the National Library of Medicine® (NLM) free online database of the world's biomedical literature, recently attained a major milestone when the 20 millionth citation was added to the database. This occurred on July 27, 2010. That same day, coincidentally, PubMed Central (PMC), the National Institutes of Health free digital archive for life sciences and biomedical literature, added its 2 millionth full-text article.
