"We [librarians] need open access —we certainly have been telling everyone else it's important for the survival of scholarly communications— but we have to overcome our own inertia and make it happen within our own field. Shouldn't we be providing leadership by example in our discipline? Posting preprints online is finally a step in the right direction...."
