Emergency Preparedness & Response 2013-07-10
Summary:
"In partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), CUSEC [Central United States Earthquake Consortium] is pleased to announce a free, one-hour webinar on the practical use of FEMA's open-source ROVER building inventory and assessment tool. ROVER, or Rapid Observation and Visual Evaluation of Risk, is a fast, free, mobile software tool for pre- and post-earthquake building safety screening. It allows building owners, communities, and professionals to collect building inventory information and identify earthquake mitigation and post-earthquake inspection priorities. ROVER software incorporates the internationally recognized standards of 'FEMA 154: Rapid Visual Screening for Potential Seismic Hazards and ATC-20: Post-Earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings'."
