Mass Shootings: Attacker Types and Threat Assessment November 12, 2012 12:00 p.m. EST webinar

"Mass shooting incidents can take place almost anywhere including the workplace, large occupancy facilities, college campuses, school grounds, or other public locations. In follow up to a previous EMForum program, this session will focus on various types of attackers since there is no single, universal profile. Threat assessment of advance warnings and indicators will also be reviewed.

"Our guest will be August Vernon, instructor, author, and Operations Officer for the Forsyth County, NC Office of Emergency Management. Mr. Vernon provides critical incident and crisis management planning and training at the local, regional, state and federal level. He has also written over 40 nationally published articles and authored the First Responders Critical Incident Field Guide published by Red Hat Publishing."
