Richard A. McGinn '68 named Interim CEO of VeriFone

The company also announced that its chairman Richard A. McGinn has been named Interim CEO and continues as a member of the Board; Leslie G. Denend has been named Interim Chairman.

Mr. McGinn has served on the company's Board of Directors since 2008. He also serves in senior positions at investment firms RRE Ventures and MR Investment Partners. Prior to that, his 30-year career in the global communication systems, networking, and technology industries included serving as CEO of Lucent Technologies. He also held a various executive level positions at AT&T, including as CEO of AT&T Network Systems. He holds a B.A. from Grinnell College.
