Gregg Sayre '72 one of four commissioners to approve the sale of CH Energy Group to Fortis Inc.

Sayre was appointed commissioner June 21, 2012. His term began July 9, 2012. It runs through Feb. 1, 2018.Before starting with the commission, he was associate general counsel of Frontier Communications Corp. While at Frontier, Sayre was responsible for all regulatory legal issues and proceedings in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Indiana.

In addition to his employment at Frontier, Sayre has worked with the New York Bar Association's Public Utility Law Committee. He got his bachelor's degree from Grinnell (Iowa) College, his law degree from Harvard Law School and a master's from Rochester Institute of Technology.
